RockinResin.com Turned One! Sale time
Man how time flies! I can’t believe the website has turned one-year-old. For anyone that puts together a website or store, you know it is a labor of love from picking a service provider to selecting graphics and adding products, nearly 2,000 of them at that. It has been a while since I had a sale and felt that in honor of our first year, it was time for one. Use coupon code FIRSTBIRTHDAY to receive 20% off your purchase of $50 or more. Sale is good on everything in the store and ends on Sunday, 4/19/2015, at midnight. Unfortunately the sale is not good on purchases made on Etsy and only one coupon code per purchase. The code can be entered on the first page of the checkout process.
Remember – all orders on RockinResin.com receive a free gift with purchase!

Spotlight on House Mountain Natural
Today I bring you a new type of post – spotlights on different artists or small businesses. It is always a treat for me to see the finished creations of artists that have purchased their supplies from Rockin’ Resin. It is especially fun when it is not the typical product which brings me to Rose with House Mountain Natural from Eastern Tennessee. Before starting her business, she was a prototype creator for major craft manufacturers. Now she is the owner, designer, and creator of House Mountain Natural. She uses the beauty of Tennessee’s nature and her three grandchildren as inspiration for her art. Her mission is to create environmentally conscious quality products for a healthier world and play environment for children. She primarily focuses on wooden pretend play products for kids. She says “I embrace both the Montessori theory of learning through play and the natural beauty of Waldorf. My toys are designed with the guidance of my sister a certified preschool teacher with a Master’s in Early Childhood Education. Each piece I make is carefully sanded and left in its natural state, or painted with Eco-friendly soy paint. Then sealed with my own blend of organic oils and local organic beeswax.” Her products have been featured in People Magazine, Inhabitots, and the Disney Baby Blog.
The toys are incredibly well made and so beautiful to look at. Rose has incorporated the Mod Podge Collage Clay in white and strawberry and fake sprinkles purchased from Rockin’ Resin into her new designs and created some incredibly realistic pretend play toys for children. I can totally picture a preschooler playing in their mini kitchens serving up their parents the play cupcakes or ice cream cones. I hope you will check out her shop, House Mountain Natural, on Etsy. If you don’t see a set you like, she also takes custom orders. Christmas is coming, they would definitely make some nice presents from Santa.
You can find House Mountain Natural on Etsy or on Facebook.

Happy Halloween!! Who can believe it is already Halloween 2014. When I sent Sadira’s design team kit, she did not seem like the typical Halloween eyeball, Frankenstein, blood and guts type of designer. I wanted to keep this project dark and monochromatic without screaming Halloween. She managed to create a beautiful case that does just that. The perfect case for fall or winter or for that gothic princess all year round. It really turned out beautiful and is my favorite case she has created so far.
You can find Sadira’s links below as well as links to the products used for the case.
You can find Sadira’s website by clicking the image above or also on Etsy at http://SadiraDesigns.etsy.com.
The case is also currently available for purchase here.
Spooky Halloween Necklaces by Mini Goddess Treasures
Keeping with the Halloween theme, we have two necklaces made by Ash from Mini Goddess Treasures. She created two necklaces for this design team project. I love them both especially the color combinations chosen for each necklace, ones a bit more traditional with orange and black and the other more modern with the purple and green focus. Let’s see what she has to say about creating the necklaces…
Time for Halloween! It’s the best time of the year. This project was one of my favorites so far – skulls and bows and kitty cats! You really can’t get much better than that. The necklace with the bow pendant kind of spoke its own music as I designed it, and it came out looking very much like Maleficent. The pendant and the skulls came from Rockin’ Resin, and the rest came from stash. The kitty necklace is oh-so-cute and perfect for Halloween! Everything but the spacers, the black bubblegum beads and the two purples (bubblegum and pearls) came from Rockin’ Resin.
Check out the finished necklaces below as well as links to find her online and to the products used.
